Unfortunately Lois Gill and the Queen were not able to make it to our February meeting. So, our President, Diane Blyth and Committee member, Tricia Loades, stepped in to demonstrate to members. In her absence the Queen sent her representative, Prince Charles, to come along in her place. Tricia went first with her arrangement that included a knitted Prince Charles. She used orange roses, pink gerberas and purple chrysanthemums along with some grass heads to represent the fleur de lis. Tricia had never done a flower arranging demonstration in front of members before and hopes that she did OK! Diane then followed with four more arrangements; one of which was done without the use of floral foam. Diane used pink and yellow carnations, pink and white tulips, wax flower, and alstroemeria in her arrangements that also included a pot-et-fleur plus lots of foliage from her garden.
