To start off our July meeting we had a slide show of photos from our 65th Anniversary Flower Festival ‘Hobbies and Pastimes’ from 2023, with the help of Jonathan from Chet Valley Photography Club, who had taken a lot of photos from the festival for us. He had compiled the slide show and we thanked him for his time doing it for us.
This was then followed by an in house flower demonstration by our President Diane Blyth and Treasurer Penny Mills with their title of ‘Globe Trotting’. Diane started off with a design for when she had visited Japan to see her son. Then Penny arranged one for her home country of South Africa, ending with Diane and her arrangement for her time in Maui. These were raffled off at the end of the evening along with a hand tied bunch made up of the remaining flowers by Penny. A very enjoyable evening and both Diane and Penny matched any demonstrator we have had.
