We invited Vicki Hease to our March 1st meeting with her demonstration of ‘A Vintage Affair’. Vicki’s demonstration was her interpretation of the 1920’s brought up to date in the 2020’s. She started with an arrangement that depicted a 1920’s fan which included ostrich feathers and gerberas. She also made a hand tied bouquet, an arrangement that celebrated Clarice Cliff, one for a musical from the 1920’s, with her final arrangement dedicated to Constance Spry. Vicki also showed us how to manipulate a black ti leaf. In Vicki’s arrangements she was trialling a new 51% biodegradable floral foam. The arrangements included lots of garden foliage, some lovely pink roses, hyacinths, tulips, freesias and chrysanthemums.
