For our May meeting we invited Clair Thompson with her flower arranging demonstration entitled ‘A Trip to the Library’. Clair took us through some books she had read as a child and also on to adulthood. They included Worzel Gummage, The Three Musketeers, Secret Garden and Frenchman’s Creek. She also arranged in a basket. We all had a lovely evening and the arrangements were raffled off at the end of the evening.
We also had a competition for members with the same title of ‘A Trip to the Library’, which Clair very kindly judged for us. Jean Madgett in the Novice Class with her interpretation of Cider with Rosie was awarded 8 out of 10. Penny Mills in the Intermediate Class received 8 out of 10 and Tricia Loades in the Advanced Class received 7 out of 10. So well done to all three.
