For our meeting on 5th September we had the lovely Crystal Dyball come along with her demonstration entitled ‘Floral Cocktail’. Crystal was due to come to us last year, but was unable to. Crystal went through her interpretation of cocktails and the flowers were indeed a cocktail of colour. Even the lighting for the evening was a cocktail of colour! The Loddon Players had changed the lighting for their upcoming pantomime and we were not able to find one ordinary light! We thank Crystal and our members for putting up with the constant change of about six different colours every second.
On the night our President Diane Blyth presented Roger Outlaw with the Baker Cup (See Annual General Meeting – August 2023). Diane also presented some flowers and a garden voucher to long standing Committee member Ann Bond, who has retired from the Committee. Ann had spent 45 years as a Committee member since she joined the Club in 1975. Well done Ann, a remarkable achievement.
